Villa Baglioni, attuale sede municipale, venne costruita probabilmente nella prima metà del Seicento per conto della famiglia Pegolotto, passò poi per asse ereditario alla famiglia Lombardo. Nel 1718 fu acquistata da Giambattista Baglioni, membro di una ricchissima famiglia di stampatori e librai che si unì al patriziato veneziano nel 1716. Il nuovo proprietario la ingrandì e la portò alle forme attuali, abbellendola con lo stupendo ciclo ad affresco narrante il "Mito di Fetonte", opera di Giambattista Tiepolo. In seguito, nel 1759, furono poste le decorazioni a stucco e ad affresco al pianterreno, opera di Antonio Zucchi, il giardino ospita due statue di Tommaso Bonazza e altrettante di Orazio Marinali.

Villa Baglioni

Villa Baglioni, the current municipal seat, was probably built in the first half of the seventeenth century on behalf of the Pegolotto family and then passed by inheritance to the Lombardo family. In 1718 it was bought by Giambattista Baglioni, a member of a wealthy family of printers and booksellers that joined the Venetian aristocracy in 1716. The new owner enlarged it until it reached its current structure and enriched it with the magnificent cycle of frescoes by Gianbattista Tiepolo that tells the “Myth of Fetonte”. In 1759, Antonio Zucchi realized the stucco and fresco decorations on the ground floor. The garden currently presents two statues by Tommaso Bonazza and two sculptures by Orazio Marinali.
